August 1: Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day
Last week, Chick-Fil-A CEO Dan Cathy told the world that his restaurant chain is against gay-marriage. The comment caused an outrage in the LGBT community, severed a business tie with the Jim Henson Company, and had the mayor of Boston asking the restaurant to vacate his city. The comment has also seen a lot of people coming out in support of the restaurant. Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee has started a Chick-Fil-A appreciation Day, asking supporters to visit the restaurant on August 1st.
